DIAMOND DOGS ONLINE SLOT REVIEW

Progressive Jackpot: No

Software: Net Entertainment

Paylines: 25

Reels: 5

RTP: 96.50%

In today’s online casinos, there are good slots, there are terrible ones, and then, there are some that are just so bizarre but you end up playing them anyway. One such game is Diamond Dogs — a lavish, albeit ridiculous, video slot produced by Net Entertainment.

Diamond Dogs is a five-reel, 25-payline online slot that mishmashes different elements such as animals, celebrities and a luxurious lifestyle in an entertaining manner. And boy, these pups sure know how to live it up and if you're lucky, they'll maybe let you in on their wealth!

This online slot glitters from every corner as you try your luck inside a diamond-encrusted gold frame. But before you get to engage these lavish pups, you need to choose how much you want to wager. Press Coin Value to alter the size of a coin. The denominations available go from 0.01 to 0.50. Then, click Bet Level to modify the number of coins bet on every line.

If you want to play a different number of paylines than the maximum 25, you should click on Bet Lines. When you're set up, press the circular arrow button to commence spinning. Otherwise, just hit Max Bet if you want to bet 4 coins on all 25 lines.

The design here is definitely what I call “blingy.” If you can get past that façade, then you will see that Diamond Dogs is actually a fairly simple and pedestrian game. You’ll actually see identical features in hundreds of other online slots. The 3x multiplier is a nice addition in the free spins round and can lead to payouts of 1,313 times your stake on each free spin.

In all, I’m not really a dog lover (or any pet for that matter). Nor am I a fan of “bling” so this online slot offering did not really appeal to me. But the gameplay is solid enough, so if you enjoy man’s best friend then it’s worth giving Diamond Dogs a shot.

FEATURE SYMBOLS

Diamond Dogs features an odd blend of celebrity and pooches. The blingy-theme is never more obvious than with the symbols, which include gold royal value dog tags, bones, collars, and water hydrants. The best of the common symbols is the flashy kennel that awards 24 times your stake if you land 5 across a payline.

The three bonus symbols are all beautifully drawn dogs – one’s the bonus, another is the scatter and the Rottweiler with the gold chain is the wild symbol. These characters comprise a group of celebrity hounds that are called, what else, but the Diamond Dogs and you’ll get to see them all if you manage to activate the bonus game.

BONUS ROUNDS

Diamond Dogs has a pair of bonus features and I have listed them as follows:

Celebrity Photo Shoot Bonus Game

Landing 3, 4 or 5 of the paparazzi dog on the same payline, beginning from reel 1, triggers this. You’ll then be taken to a doggie red-carpet event and given a choice of pampered pooches. Click on a dog to take a photo, which will, in turn, uncover a cash prize. The number of picks relies on how many bonuses you landed on the triggering spin.

Free Spins feature

Land 3, 4 or 5 of the Chihuahua scatter and you’ll get a payout equal to 4, 25 or 100 times your stake, and 10 free spins. All payouts during the free spins round are furthered by a 3x multiplier and are trebled. You can also re-trigger to give you a total of 20 free spins.
