Novomatic has successfully combined the retro theme with modern design in this 5-reel, 9-payline online slot. If you feel like going down memory lane, then this HD version of a classic 70s machine is perfect for you. The only thing missing to complete the classic feel is old school music.
Gameplay begins with setting your bets. You may start by clicking on the Select Lines tab to set the number of lines you want to play. You may also click on the +/- tabs to the left of the Select Lines tab to set the amount you want to wager. If you want to wager the highest amount allowed, click on the Bet Max tab. To set the reels into motion, click on the Spin tab at the rightmost end of the control panel. Feature Symbols
You will not see any of the familiar playing card symbols in this game, as all base game symbols are theme-related. There are eight standard base game symbols that are represented by items commonly associated with a romantic date. You will see a banana split, an ice cream sundae, a waffle sundae, what looks like a chocolate gelatin cake, chocolate milkshake, a pair of gentlemen’s dancing shoes, a vinyl record, and the silhouette of the dancing couple in front of a heart. The two symbols with the highest value are the gentleman and the lady who are out on a date.
The game also has two special symbols. The Wild symbol is represented by neon lights with the word “wild” in front. This can substitute for any of the other base game symbols, with the exception of the Scatter symbol. The game’s Scatter symbol is represented by a glittering silver disco ball with the word “scatter” printed in front of it. This symbol is key to the game’s main bonus round.
Bonus Rounds
The game’s main bonus round is the familiar Free Spins feature. This is activated when you land at least three Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. You will then be rewarded with free spins, the number of which is determined by the number of Scatter symbols that triggered the bonus round. You will also get the Jukebox option during the Free Spins round.
The free spins will pay according to the wager configurations you have previously set. If you see the Jukebox icon on the reels during the bonus round, you will be rewarded with one or two extra spins. You could get as many as 7 extra spins in total.
The game also has a special Gamble feature. Whenever you land a winning combination, you will have the option of whether to collect your prize or gamble it.
