Amsterdam - Microgaming used the iGB Live! in Amsterdam event as the venue to announce the return of Jungle Jim to the reels. Fans of the original slot released in 2016 are excited to join their beloved hero on his adventures once again.
Jungle Jim was exclusively developed for Microgaming by Stormcraft Studios, the same company that produced popular title such as Dragon Shard, Fortunium, and Agent Jane Bond Returns. Jungle Jim El Dorado became a smash hit when it was released three years ago, as players came to appreciate being taken into the heart of the Amazon on a quest to find the legendary city. It therefore came as no surprise that Microgaming came up with a sequel.
The new game is entitled Jungle Jim and the Lost Sphinx, and as expected, it received an overwhelmingly positive response at the prestigious event in Amsterdam. And as hinted at by the game title, this new game takes place in Egypt. Players are now getting ready to explore the hidden riches of the ancient Egyptian world, as the new Jungle Jim slot is scheduled for release in November.
Jungle Jim and the Lost Sphinx promises to be bigger, better, and more engaging than its predecessor. It is set on a 5x5 grid and has 50 paylines. Jungle Jim fans still remember how the original Jungle Jim slot got them hooked and glued to their screens, and they are looking forward to having that same experience when their favorite slot hero starts swinging his way back into the industry later this year.
Some of those who could not wait that long to see Jungle Jim again were lucky enough to catch their first glimpse of his new adventure at Microgaming’s branded stand at the Amsterdam event. Those who missed out on that event will just have to keep themselves busy with other new games being launched while they wait for November. If the event is any indication, there will be a lot to keep players occupied before Jungle Jim swings back into their lives.
Asked to comment on the Jungle Jim sequel, Microgaming Chief Commercial Officer Jean-Luc Ferriere expressed the company’s excitement in teasing the beloved character’s next adventure at the iGB Live!, considering how popular the original Jungle Jim slot was, and still is. “The new game includes outstanding artwork and entertaining mechanics, including the popular Rolling Reels feature, and Stormcraft Studios have set a new benchmark in visual storytelling in our industry,” he said.
Microgaming has definitely been busy recently, launching a number of new games besides the Jungle Jim sequel. Among others, they have just introduced Le Kaffee Bar, Ruby Casino Queen, and Village People Macho Moves. They have also recently signed some highly important partnership agreements, the latest having been inked just last month with BGO.
They have been quite secretive about the details of the new game, except for the announcement that it will have the Rolling Reels proprietary feature. For true fans, however, that announcement alone is enough reason to look forward to November.
