Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is turning his attention to the online gambling world as he is set to launch his very own line of virtual casino and lottery games that will feature his likeness and his popular reality TV show, “Hell’s Kitchen.”
The foul-mouthed chef, whose fame has gone to astronomical heights since he debuted “Hell’s Kitchen,” has applied to protect his trademark with the UK Intellectual Property Office.
Computer games for playing betting, casino, and gambling games, as well as a site for online slot machines and lottery services, are also cited in the application.
The trademark application mentions computer programs for playing casino, gambling and betting games.
It also covers “a website for online gambling, gambling services in the nature of online slot machines and lottery services”.
It remains unknown when these games will be launched to the public as no other details were made available.
The 53-year-old chef and TV personality, who is the man behind the massive success of the Gordon Ramsay Group, whose restaurants currently hold seven Michelin stars, has a Hell’s Kitchen restaurant located at the Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel, which seats over 300 people. Neither the popular chef or his spokesperson has issued any statement regarding plans involving the said games.
Should the plans push through, the British TV chef would not be the first celebrity to lend his name to the gambling realm. Pop culture superstars Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Elvis and even jockey Frankie Dettori has penetrated the industry beforehand. The 49-year old Dettori actually has a game that is based on his famed seven winners in an afternoon at Royal Ascot in 1996. It is featured on a number of different online gambling sites.
